This low glycemic smoothie is so creamy and delicious and loaded with magical ingredients too. Cilantro is a potent heavy metal detoxifier, kale is a blood purifier, good for the eyes, bones, skin among many other magical things, cucumber is cooling and wonderful for the skin and joints and lemon helps to cleanse the liver and gallbladder, avocado adds a wonderful creaminess but is full of good fats that help to balance cravings and makes your skin glow, and hemp is an easy-to-digest protein source that is full of omega-3 fats that reduce inflammation, and last but not least ginger, oh how I love you in a smoothie, you add a nice kick and thin the blood to get things flowing and reduce inflammation too. Wow, sounds too good to be true! It just shows you how a green smoothie can be your daily medicine. And you will be surprised at how delicious this one tastes.

Ingredients
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 handful chopped kale (approximately 3 medium size leaves)
  • ¼ medium avocado
  • ½ cup cucumber with skin if organic, if not, peel it first
  • 1 small handful of cilantro
  • ½ inch knob of ginger
  • ½ lemon peeled
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup pure water
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp Boku Protein Powder (or other vegan protein powder), optional
  • 3 to 5 drops of liquid vanilla stevia, or 1 tsp raw honey to sweeten, optional
Instructions
  1. Blend all ingredients until creamy in a high-powered blender.
  2. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
