Oh-So-Simple Korean Spiced Beans

These are the tastiest beans I have ever had and are so easy to make. They seriously take only 5-minutes!! Serve them over smashed baked potatoes or with a side of quinoa or rice and greens. My son loves these served straight up with a side of toast or organic blue sprouted tortilla chips.

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp tamari soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cane juice crystals or sucanat
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 tbsp organic ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cans kidney beans (4 cups cooked)
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder dissolved in ¼ cup water
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan combine tamari, cane juice crystals, sucanat, water, ketchup, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Mix and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in beans.
  4. Add arrowroot mixture and stir for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately.
