This smoothie is power-packed, full of vitamins, minerals and enzymes and a delicious way to eat your greens. I have this combination often and like to mix it up with other greens. I especially like it with sunflower sprouts. This smoothie goes down great after a workout~add the hemp seeds for more protein and the goji berries for an anitoxidant boost.
½ cup apple juice or water (I prefer water, but juice may be preferable for those new to green smoothies)
½ cup washed spinach, baby kale or sunflower sprouts
½ to 1 celery stalk
1 tbsp tahini
1 banana
Optional: add 1/2 tsp or more cinnamon
Optional: add 1 tbsp hemp seeds
Optional: add 1 tbsp goji berries (or more)
Place all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves 1 to 2 people.
